Fiona with painting no.3 May 1.2017..by fallen log, Coed Beddick_nAs we come to height of this ecstatic expression of nature, be prepared to be dazzled by the play of light and colour in these exciting woodland pictures. If you love nature and colour, you will not be disappointed. They are a feast for the eyes and are guaranteed to lift your spirits.

You will almost smell their wafting purpley/blue fragrance. The Nature Spirits are never far away!

Fiona likes to capture the spirit of the place by painting ‘en plein air’. This brings with it the added demands of working against time to capture particular combinations of light and shadow, and to beat the weather: indeed some of her favourite works have resulted from the special light in between showers, responding to the extra challenge of avoiding the worst that the environment can send! Thunder and lightning are no strangers to these canvasses.

Fiona is a widely exhibited artist, from London to Laguna Beach. Her work is also in many prestigious private collections here znc abroad, such as at Longleat in Lord Bath’s Wessex Collection.

Her bluebell paintings will be exhibited at the Brockweir Village Shop from 8th May to 19th June 2017.
